Psy’s Gangnam Style crowned as the most viewed KPOP video in Youtube.
Gangnam Style went viral not just in Korea but also around the globe at the time it was released and had a huge number of views on its first week. Now, the music video surpassed Girls Generation’s Gee, who had the crown for having a huge number of views in Youtube. The power of social media is probably the reason why it became viral making Gangnam Style as the most viewed KPOP video in history. This marks Psy’s comeback album as a huge success as it achieves new records in local and U.S. charts. As of now, the video has 84, 535,735 views.
Netizens remarked that the two videos wasn’t worth comparing because “Gee” was released way back in 2009 while Gangnam style was only released on July 2012.
