GFriend member Yerin will be sitting out of the group’s promotions due to appendicitis.
GFriend‘s agency Source Music made the announcement through the group’s fan cafe on September 25. The agency’s statement read “Yerin will temporarily be unable to participate in GFriend‘s scheduled activities. During the SBS Super Concert in Daejeon on September 24, Yerin complained of abdominal pain, and was later diagnosed with appendicitis following an examination at a nearby hospital.”
Source Music also said “Yerin‘s condition is currently not severe enough to warrant an operation, but doctors have informed us that if her condition deteriorates she will need to undergo surgery. As such, we have decided that Yerin will not participate in GFriend‘s upcoming schedules. Therefore GFriend will promote as five members from September 28 to October 1. This decision was made thinking only of Yerin‘s health, so we ask for Buddies and all fans of GFriend to please understand. We apologise to anyone who may be disappointed, and ask for your continue support of GFriend in the future.”
GFriend are currently in the midst of promotions for ‘Summer Rain‘, the title track from their repackaged ‘Rainbow‘ album. We hope Yerin gets better soon!
