Girls’ Generation celebrates their 9th anniversary on the 5th of August. To commemorate this day, Girls’ Generation have dedicated ‘That Summer (0805)‘ ballad to their fans via ‘SM Station‘.
Through ‘SM Station‘, Girls’ Generation was given the chance to show their gratitude towards their fans, for the constant love and support they were given over the years. This beautiful ballad was written by the one and only Sooyoung and fans can definitely feel the deep emotion behind their singing. This track is certainly more personal with one of the members writing this track. It couldn’t get any better than that.
The track itself is full of beautiful instruments that can be heard and is accompanied with a soft and gentle melody. The track is able to capture all the ladies’ emotions and feelings over the past few years of singing. The lyrics themselves are very touching and talks about the group and how they want to last forever.
Even though the ladies didn’t appear in the music video, the video definitely had fans in tears and crying over how far these ladies have come. In the music video, it tells and recalls the journey that Girls’ Generation have gone through. The different scenes represent their comebacks starting with the first scene that represents their debut song, ‘Into The New World‘ to the very last scene that represents their recent comeback, ‘Lion Heart‘ and ‘You Think‘.
Each scene is very distinct with a certain key element that fans would see and understand which comeback song it is. It definitely touches the heart of every SONE and surely Girls’ Generation have a lot more stronger and productive years to come.
Additionally, the ladies have uploaded a video message where each of the them gave their short thanks and gratitude towards their fans. This 9th year anniversary is definitely a year to remember and so Happy Anniversary to Girls’ Generation!
