Girls’ Generation will debut their first full-length album soon.
It was reported by a British website, The Guardian, that the Girl Group had already finished recording their first ever full-length English album and it will be released through Interscope Records tentatively next year. Steve McClure, a Tokyo-based executive editor of McClure’s Asia Music News said ”It doesn’t surprise me at all the Girls’ Generation are doing this,” he then added “The South Korean market is limited, so winning over new fans overseas has always been part of the K-pop strategy. The fact that they are riding on the coat tails of Psy is just pure luck – it has just made it easier than it might have been without him.”
According to The Guardian, “Industry experts say the group’s brand of electropop and brilliantly produced videos will ease them into unfamiliar markets outside Asia”. “Girls’ Generation totally fit the bill,” overseas editor of US Weekly magazine, Mio Scobie. “They produce feelgood beats, instantly memorable choruses and, as I’m sure people have already noticed, they’re stunning.” they added.
In other related news, it was confirmed by SM Entertainment that Girls’ Generation will have their comeback in January 2013 after the 15-month hiatus.
