If you are a Shawol, you are already aware of the fact that unfortunately we will not be getting a Korean comeback this year from our boys. Fortunately, fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief when the light came at the end of the tunnel, in the form of the announcement of a new Japanese album . “I’m Your Boy” is set to release on September 24th, and the teaser for the first single, “Downtown Baby,” has just been released!
Try really hard not to fangirl/fanboy when you watch this teaser, I’d be willing to bet you just can’t! The teaser only gives us a 34 second peek at the music video, but there’s a whole lot of excitement packed into those precious seconds. The boys look absolutely fantastic, and the best news of all is: ONEW IS BACK! Our wonderful leader is back in action for the first time in months, since his vocal surgery, and he looks better than ever. The other members look equally fresh, the styles are colorful and edgy, with a definite hip-hop inspiration. ( I see you rockin’ those gold chains, Jonghyun and Minho…)
“Downtown Baby” sounds extremely catchy so far, it’s SHINee, what else would you expect. It’s very upbeat, with a groove that had me dancing even though the clip is so brief. Most importantly, the boys look like they’re having a fantastic time as always. These five know how to have fun, and it always shines through in their music videos. Their smiles are as infectious as ever!
