The 90’s will be getting a make over by veteran solo artist Gummy, just like when she debuted under YG Entertainment as a fresh-faced singer. On April 3rd her current agency C-Jes Entertainment revealed she is going back to her roots, “Gummy’s remake album will be released on April 17th. The album will remake male vocalist songs. This will be Gummy’s first remake album since her debut, and it’ll bring a lot of interest.”
What is key to upcoming mini-album is that she won’t cover songs by female vocalist but male, giving the songs a feminine touch a long with a new perspective. A representative seconded that notion of the singer’s integrity as an artist, “Gummy had received a lot of favorable comments from singing other artists songs in her solo concerts and in ‘Immortal Song 2.’ She’s able to maintain the charm of the original song and mix it with a new, trendy genre. You can anticipate a lot of surprising songs.”
A long with her mini-album preparations, Gummy is also preparing to have a solo concert at Ewha Woman’s University on May 1st and 2nd.
