Officially Kmusic would like to wish a Happy 7th Anniversary to The Boss!
In South Korea, the group is known as DGNA (Dae Guk Nam Ah – 대국남아) which means ‘The Boys of Super Space.’ Their English name, The Boss, was derived from this meaning. In Japan, the group is known as Daikoku Danji (大国男児).
The Boss was formed under Open World Entertainment where they made their debut on March 4th, 2010 with the track, “Admiring Boy.” But as of now, they are currently under Xing Entertainment.
The group consists of:
Mika (Lee Su Hoon – 이수훈): Leader and main vocalist [Fun fact: Mika is a Japanese rock enthusiast and knows how to play the keyboard and the guitar.]
Karam (Park Hyun Cheol -박현철): Vocalist [Fun fact: Karam’s role model and inspiration is TVXQ’s Yunho.]
Hyunmin (Woo Hyun Min -우현민): Vocalist [Fun fact: Hyunmin admires Beethoven so much that he even got a tattoo of him.]
Injun (Lee In Joon – 이인준): Vocalist and rapper [Fun fact: Injun is known as the group MC and happy virus, he is a big fan of SG Wannabe.]
Jay (Jeon Ji Hwan – 전지환): Main dancer, rapper, and maknae [Fun fact: Before debut, Jay was featured on ‘Star King’ for his popping skills. He was named by the show as the “Poppin’ Prodigy.”]
All members of The Boss were originally part of the 3rd & 4th generations of the group: XING. Members Mika and Hyunmin were also members of the vocal group, Singing in the Rain, before joining XING.
Members Mika, Karam, and Jay are part of the sub-unit, Popsicle, where they debuted with the track: “I’ll Love You Until it Snows in the Middle of a Summer Day.”
Their fandom name is Master and their fandom color is Pearl Terracotta.
