Jeon Jungkook, the BTS‘s youngest member today on September 1st turns 19 (18 internationally) and it’s a day that we will remember for sure! Let’s take a moment to celebrate a few things about the golden maknae.
He was born in 1997, in Busan and he has a older brother named Jung Hyun who is currently serving the Army.
When he was in the middle school he entered into a competition “Superstar K”, but failed to pass the elimination round, because Bang PD told him that there was no emotion in his dance. He then went to America and learned various styles of dance from well-known choreographers.
His role model is Big Bang‘s G-Dragon: “In 7th grade, I had dreams of becoming a singer after listening to G-Dragon sunbaenim’s songs. Then in 8th grade, I got casted by Big Hit after leaving the Superstar K3 auditions and became a part of Bangtan.”
8 different entertainment companies because they wanted him for training, but thanks to the leader Rap Monster he joined BigHit Entertainment. He once said:”When I heard hyung’s (RM) rap, I knew where I belong.”
His dream is to become a composer and write amazing songs that will touch people’s hearts.
To celebrate his birthday the fans all over the world trended the hashtag #HappyKookieDay and wished him all the best.
