“Heaven’s Door” Rises Above “All About My Romance”

The new historical drama “Heaven’s Door“, aka “Fugitive of Joseon“, has surpassed “All About My Romance” with a rating of 9.3%.

2PM‘s Seulong is cast as the Crown Prince. Another cast member, Song Ji Hyo caused critics concern about her acting skills. The producer, Moon Bo Hyun, simply stated that her skills were “undervalued” and thought that perhaps the actress was too well known for her appearances on “Running Man,” and that the association was becoming difficult to overcome.

“We expected this,” said Moon. “It’s something we have to deal with. Her work does not fall behind those of other actors in the series and we believe that she will only improve as the drama continues.”

Ratings rose last week when JYJ‘s Junsu contributed to the soundtrack.

The opposing drama, “All About My Romance“, is a political drama that focuses on the relationship that forms between legislators in opposing parties  that must be kept secret. The drama stars Shin Ha Kyun as Kim Soo Young and Lee Min Jung as Noh Min Jung.

There is a fanbase, but it has failed to expand. Some of the political dialogue may be a turn off to most viewers, that prefer to keep politics separate from the dramas they watch.
