M&D, the duo formed by Super Junior‘s Heechul and TRAX‘s Jungmo, are ready for another comeback!
The duo will release their second mini-album, ‘Goody Bag‘, on July 12th, along with their brand new music video for ‘Ulsanbawi‘. The first video teaser for their new music video was released on July 7th, and revealed that their new song will follow the trot genre. Check it out:
‘Ulsanbawi‘ is the name of a famous rock formation with an unique shape, which is located in the Seoraksan national park, in South Korea. There’s also a legend about this rock formation, which says that “Ulsanbawi walked to the north as the representative of the city. Unfortunately Ulsanbawi arrived too late and there was no more room. Ulsanbawi was ashamed and slowly trudged back to the south. One evening the rock went to sleep in the Seorak area. Ulsanbawi felt it was so beautiful around there that it decided to stay for good.”
According to SM Entertainment, “The title song “울산바위 (Ulsanbawi)” is a traditional trot song and is about a sad guy who missed the chance to tell his love to a girl.“. Heechul and Jungmo both participated in the lyrics and composition of the song.
What are your thoughts on M&D‘s comeback? Do you think trot fits them well? I personally always thought that Heechul would be an awesome trot singer, given Super Junior T‘s ‘Rokkugo‘ and M&D‘s ‘Midnight and Dawn‘, so I’m really happy about this comeback.
Stay tuned to Officially Kmusic to check out their official comeback on July 12th!
