This years popular K-Drama “The Heirs” is at a close, but that isn’t the end of Lee Minho.It has been confirmed that Lee Minho has signed on to star in the film “Gangnam Blues”. The agency that manages the actor made the confirmation, “Lee Min Ho will be staring in director Yoo Ha’s upcoming film ‘Gangnam Blues’.”
It has been said that Director Yoo Ha, has his eye on Lee Minho for the part who has stand out. He said, “There are many actors who were interested in the role, but since I conceptualized this project, Lee Min Ho was the person I had in mind for the movie. I look forward to the chemistry on set with someone who is as charismatic, charming and talented as Lee Min Ho.”
“Gangnam Blues” takes place during the 1970’s as the affluent Seoul’s Gangnam districts goes through gentrification focusing on the black politics, from the corruption of organizations in the fight to for the monopoly over the land that was then underdeveloped to gang life.
The success of his dramas such as “Boys Over Flowers”, “City Hunter”, “Personal Taste” and most recently “The Heirs”, has garnered him much acclaimed for his acting. This will be Lee Min Ho’s first movie since the release of two of his 2008 films “Public Enemy Returns” and “Our School ET”.
Filming is set to take place on March 2014, then its premiere will take place on the latter half of the year.
