There is no end to the news about departures from various K-Pop groups, and Hello Venus is not going to stop the reports.
It was stated that, “Fantagio and Pledis Entertainment would like to announce through the joint collaboration venture Tricell Media Company, that it has been decided it would be beneficial and for a new direction of progress, [that] the ‘Hello Venus’ collaboration project will come to an end with the agreement of both companies.” Sounds serious upon first glance, but let’s analyze the announcement.
Hello Venus has been performing under the name of both companies the whole time. Right now, members Ara and Yoonjo are said to be leaving the group and will stay with Pledis Entertainment, while the rest of the girls, Alice, Nara, Lime, and Yooyoun, will move to Fantagio and will continue as Hello Venus. It is yet to be decided if additional members will be added to the group. Ara and Yoonjo are said to be working on different kinds of activities, including music and acting.
Tricell Media has also released a statement on July 31st, saying, “We sincerely apologize to the fans who have loved and treasured [Hello Venus] for announcing this news so suddenly. We ask for your understanding that the decision to reorganize the group was to better benefit the members towards a direction of improvement and we ask that you will closely watch the six member’s future activities.”
