Historic moment as Music Bank announces a show in Berlin

The 20 year long running show ‘KBS Music Bank‘ has announced it will be doing a show in Berlin on 15^th September, 2018 at the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin.  The announcement has Netizens overjoyed and already clamoring for tickets that go on sale on July 20 at 10am.  The show will feature huge names in K-Pop that European fans would rarely get the opportunity to see in concert let alone alongside other acts and with the actor, Park Bo Gum hosting.

Undoubtedly the most famous of the announced acts is EXO.  The nine member Korean/Chinese band debuted in 2012 and has had many successes since, including critical acclaim for their second studio album Exodus and worldwide success with their third album Ex’Act which featured the track ‘Monster’.  The group released their 4^th album The War in 2017 with the catchy song ‘Ko Ko Bop’. The group even performed at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Also on the show are the increasingly popular Wanna One.  Even though this group debuted less than a year ago, after winning Produce 101’s second season, they have already garnered a great deal of attention.  The debut album 1×1=1 featured a variety of styles from funky and beat heavy rap numbers like ‘Burn It Up’, to more traditional pop songs like ‘Energetic’.  Their second EP 0+1=1 continued to showcase their flexibility with more range and depth of style.  From hip hop numbers such as ‘Boomerang’, to melodic ballads like I’ll Remember.

JYP Entertainment’s recently debuted Stray Kids will also be performing at the show.  Their pre-debut album Mixtape featured the songs from the show including ‘Hellevator’ which has garnered over 27 million views on YouTube.  The group officially debuted on 26^th March this year and have already started to gain a strong social media following.

SHINee’s Taemin will also be performing as a solo artist on the show.  SHINee is a well-known group in Korea that debuted in 2008.  Although the band was beset by tragedy in December when the leader of the group, Jonghyun, took his own life, they have continued to perform and tour throughout 2018.  Taemin’s solo work includes sultry songs like ‘MOVE’ and ‘Press Your Number’.

(G)-IDLE will also be performing on the show.  The six member girl group debuted 2^nd May 2018 with this mini album I Am which included their hit song ‘LATATA’.  The group have a strong hip hop vibe and have already gathered a strong following.

Lastly, and with some speculation and curiosity in the announcement that SOMI will be on the show.  There is already a great deal of debate online as to whether SOMI will be working alongside Park Go Bum to host the show or will be performing as a solo artist for what could be the first time.

This lineup is an amazing one and tickets are bound to sell out fast so be sure to be ready to get your when they go on sale, 20^th July at 10am.
