On December 2nd, Hong Jinyoung released her MV for ‘Seoul‘. The track was produced by Park Keun Tae. Check it out below!
‘Seoul’ MV:
The MV takes place in the confines of a taxi. The GPS introduces the song and the city of Seoul. Throughout the MV, landscape shots of Seoul are displayed. Jinyoung plays the role of different passengers who hail this taxi. The first passenger who gets into the taxi is a student who is frantically studying for an upcoming exam. The next passengers are a couple who take selfies, listen to music together, and simply relax together. Next, the passenger is a girl dressed in a wolf mascot costume. The next day, the first passenger is a businesswoman. In the next scene, the same couple get into the taxi, but they get out halfway through because they are fighting. Only Jinyoung gets back into the taxi. Now upset, she ends up crying in the taxi as it takes her to her destination.
The song is a classical trot song with multiple rap parts by Bray. It is always refreshing to hear a different genre being represented in the Korean music industry.
