Hongki’s Special ‘InStyle Fashionista Award’ Speech Gains Attention

A recent cut of Hongki giving his acceptance speech at the ‘27th Golden Disk Awards‘ caught the attention of many netizens.

The ’27th Golden Disk Awards’ was held on January 16th, approximately 2 weeks ago, and many top Korean stars attended, gathering at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Of all of them, only one could bring home the InStyle Fashionista Award, and that was non other than Hongki of F.T. Island.

A ‘gif’ file of Hongki receiving the InStyle Fashionista Award was posted online, in which he cutely adds a line into his acceptance speech, saying, ‘It’s kind of weird to receive this fashionista award as G-Dragon sunbaenim is also here.’

The reason is that G-Dragon is known as a Fashion Icon, one of the most trendy and fashion-forward idols of the Korean music industry, and even Hongki himself is shocked to win the Fashionista award instead. However, many fans were amused at his humbleness and complimented him even more.
