U.S. based Korean singer-songwriter Hyejin will be releasing her upcoming single, “DAVID LEE,” on May 19th. The new song will describe the emotions and feelings behind dating a typical Korean American boy.
Originally from Seoul, Hyejin currently resides in New York City, and is an Alt-R&B singer-songwriter, producer, and creative visionary. Having moved between South Korea and the U.S. a lot during her childhood and adolescence, the artist found herself set on the one constant she felt she had: writing. Taking inspiration from musicians such as Amy Winehouse, SZA, and Yerin Baek, Hyejin’s music is a unique mixture of anti-romantic lyrics pairing with sweet, dreamy melodies. She has coined her signature sound as the genre “dream-soul.”
Aside from “DAVID LEE,” the singer most recently released her first EP, WHAT A SHAME!, along with single, “I’VE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE Pt.2,” featuring friends Aleebi and Kasper.
