Idols have huge influences, especially those with fan masses. With this, their popularity is easily displayed based on their stats on social networking sites.
Although Twitter is used for trivial facts about one’s life, many idols’ tweets have received a high amount of retweets. Joongang Ilbo, over the past weeks, took a few tweets and tracked the retweet number for the week of January 16th until the 22nd.
Nine of the Top 10 spots were tweets from the Super Junior members, and the remaining spot went to G-Dragon of Big Bang. However, we have realized that the list has skipped over a tweet by Eunhyuk of Super Junior, and have edited his tweet in.
In 10th place is Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon, successfully being the only non-Super Junior idol on the list. His simple “Seoul >>>>>>>>> Malaysia” tweet garnered 15,990 retweets.
Eunhyuk is # 9 with his friendly tweet of gratitude for his fans getting Super Junior onto World Trends, “Thanks for world ELF http://twitpic.com/bvhh3c,” which, as of now, has 17,017 retweets.
Siwon, who recently surpassed the 3 million followers mark, is #8 with his update, “with RW,DH. we go to head out to beijing now. thank you malaysia for being our families! have a goodnight cheers 🙂 pic.twitter.com/5bus8KKX.”
Beating Siwon is Siwon himself, at #7, with a simple “WE ARE SUPER JUNIOR! pic.twitter.com/LTKLLzSB,” with 19,013 retweets.
6th place goes to Donghae, “Super Junior !! Golden Disk Daesang!! Our third one ^^ !!!!! I’m geuinely thankful!! We are Super Juni~~~~~or^^,” along with another version of the photo that Siwon tweeted, above.
Eunhyuk appears again at #5 – his tweet with a mixture of Chinese and English, “SJ-M first stage~!!!!! Let’s go,” and a photo of the Super Junior- M members.
Donghae is #4 with “We are Super Junior ^^~~~ Have a good day!!” and an edited collage of Super Junior photos.
Third place goes towards maknae Kyuhyun with a mischievous, “Where do you think I”m go~~ing kekeke. I’m excited for the train trip lol.” and a photo of him standing beside a train. This so far has 20, 395 retweets.
Eunhyuk comes in second with an excited message after the Golden Disk Awards, “Golden Disk Daesang!!!!!! Bonsang!!!!!!! MSN South East Asia Award!!!!!!!! I’m really genuinely thankful ㅜㅜㅜㅜ We are Super Junio~or!!!!!! ELF, I love you!!!!!!” retweeted over 20,000 times.
The #1 retweeted tweet is from Kyuhyun, which was a simple but cute “Eheheheheheheh” and an attached photo of him imitating the facial expression of a doll.
