Korean indie artist, Mr. Bungle featuring Park Jin-young released a heart-wrenching and sorrowful animated music video of his folk ballad song ‘Farewell In Spring‘ on September 14th.
Before actually watching the music video, I suggest you prepare yourself, buckets and rolls of tissues for this new release of Mr. Bungle. The concept or idea having a dog as the main character on the music video is brilliant. If you look into the music video closely and analyze it, it somehow resembles the Korean War in 1950-1957 where there had been a separation of the two Korea’s (North Korea and South Korea).
Adding the exceptional voice of Mr. Bungle, and acoustic strumming of the guitar, watching the video of a dog drags you to the sadness lane where it also reminds you of that tragic loss of someone or something in your life.
If you are ready to cry buckets, watch this total tearjerker music video below.
In its music video description, it says, “The separation without preparation that we face at least one time in our life gives the strong suffering that is more painful than parting with preparation. And the pain for bearing the separation cannot be expressed easily if that parting is the ‘death’. In his newest single named [Separation in Spring], Mr. Bungle have tried to apply the pain of the separation without preparation. The ‘spring’ of [Separation in Spring] symbolizes ‘family, lover, and friends’ who give us the new hope.”
