After a month since “Think About You” song collaboration with Akdong Musician‘s Lee Chan-hyuk, sentimentalist singer-songwriter Younha awes everyone’s hearts and souls again with another hit ballad track, “Hashtag,” last December 10th at midnight. This sentimental ballad track was also produced by South Korea’s profound lyricist and hiphop living legend, Epik High‘s very own Tablo.
The song starts with a playful melody from a keyboard accompanied with that heart-wrecking and melancholic beat of the drums and violins, adding emotions to the sweet and angelic voice of Younha. It’s a perfect song, especially for those who love to reflect in life, and it’s really soothing to our minds considering the song arrangement by producers like Tablo and also Younha.
The music video itself is somewhat a continuation of the track “Think About You,” telling the story of the woman coping with a break-up, whereas, this time, it’s the side of the man too caught-up with technology and depending everything on hashtags through social networking posts. It’s a rather sad ending, and I suggest you prepare buckets and rolls of tissues for this music video.
It’s a must-see, especially to those the same as me, who love romantic ballads and flicks that tell stories about relationships between couples. The concept itself is timely with today’s generation of couples dependent or started through Social Media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others.
Sit back, put on your earplugs and raise the volume in full, and I suggest to listen and watch the music video below with your partner.
So what can you say about this perfect collaboration song and its romantic yet sorrowful music video?
It’s not the first time both living legends have a sweet and beautiful song collaboration, since it’s the 4th time Tablo and Younha have worked together. Younha was featured in Epik High’s different albums and songs such as “Umbrella” and made a ballad version of it in 2014, slaying charts and considered one of the best songs that year. Both artists also worked together in songs like “Fighting Again” and “Memory.” We hope to see more collaboration songs from Younha and different artists from YG Entertainment, HIGH GROUND, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and many more in the future.
To all fellow Younhaholics in the world, Younha will be having her concerts on December 19th and 20th at the Olympic Hall, Seoul dubbed as “2015 Younha Concert: Final Fantasy,” and you can check out the promotional video of it here. You may also visit Younha’s official Facebook page here, as well as Tablo’s over here.
