22 September 2017 – We got the chance to catch up on Kim Myung Soo as during the press conference which was held in West Coast Plaza. The mall had all three levels filled with fans who wanted to catch a glimpse of the actor. Many people were curious on his thoughts regarding promoting as Kim Myung Soo instead of his better known stage name, L.
The idol turned actor shared that he is not too concerned about people dissociating his stage persona, L from Kim Myung Soo. Instead, he was very positive about working hard and trying his best to excel so that people are able to acknowledge him. He decided to use his birth name for his most recent drama role, “The Emperor: Owner of the Mask” in hopes of showing a different side of him apart from his role as a member of 7-year boy group, INFINITE.
When asked about the best advice he has ever gotten from someone, he mentioned that his personal motto is, “Carpe Diem” which means to seize the day. He takes every challenge as an opportunity and always thinks positively. He mentioned that after receiving advice from seniors, he would ponder over them which helped him derived to his personal motto. He believes that we think too negatively about the reality, whatever we do will turn out bad. He shared that even if he had a difficult situation, he believes that he will eventually overcome the challenges by being positive. The media got to see a very wise and mature side to the 25-year-old.
He also shared that he wishes to express himself better by 30 years old. He would love to continue singing, acting and doing photography in five years. He would also hope to be more mature and manly. At the end of the press conference, Kim Myung Soo shot multiple hearts for the fans that came down. Despite being unwell, Myung Soo showed great professionalism and sincerity towards his fans.
