The Ministry of Justice, along with Infinite‘s maknae Sungjong, traveled to Busan to aid victims of arson in their time of need.
On the 20th, Sungjong and more volunteers went to Busan to clean up a building that had been destroyed by arson and to help the families get back on their feet.
The Human Rights Support Division of the Ministry of Justice and the Busan Crime Victim Center “Sunshine” will be using Sungjong’s act of selflessness in the hopes to make more people aware of this issue and those similar to this to get more volunteers for the future.
The person in charge of the service said, “Sungjong didn′t act like a celebrity at all and arrived on set early in the morning and cleaned up the area with the other volunteers. It wasn′t a simple volunteer service where he just took pictures. He didn′t hold back on cleaning up the place, so we want to express our gratitude.”
Sungjong has also made the promise that he will do his best to help in the future by spreading the word about issues like these and continue his work as a volunteer.
It’s always touching to see idols volunteering or donate to help bring awareness to tragedies and problems in Korea or even globally. Keep up the good work Sungjong!
