It was reported that EXO fans were unable to attend the group’s performance on SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ because of their bad behavior.
EXO staff released an official statement, saying:
“The August 4th live broadcast will be the pre-recorded one from 8/1 and EXO will be participating on the live stage.
Despite the fact that there was a pre-recording, if there is live broadcasting stage the fan club tickets will be assigned but starting this week, we (t/n: EXO staff) were told that EXO fans are unable to attend and be part of the fan club sitting on live stages and pre-recorded broadcasts.
This is (because), every time there were notices and instructions to follow the bodyguards and staffs’ orders regarding jaywalking, it still continued along with blocking roads, following and running after artists, etc. after the broadcasts ended, making others feel uncomfortable with EXO’s fan support tools (t/n: like fanboards, placards, light sticks, etc.) and displaying such dangerous actions.
The government and the police department have received many complaints.
Not only at ‘INKIGAYO,’ but at other broadcasting places when there were pre-recorded stages, during the pre-recorded time and entering and exiting times, fans portrayed refractory behaviors to the staff. Every time there were pictures and videos recorded and leaked and because there were fans, after the broadcast ended, waiting and chasing after cars despite the fact that fans were warned/banned from entering/lowered the number of EXO fans allowed to enter/received penalties and there were still no changes shown in attitude from the fans who participate in the schedules, we are very sorry.
Please, even if its not ‘INKIGAYO,’ to fans who participate in other broadcasting schedules, even if they are not part of the fan-club sitting but came to the schedule to support EXO as a regular audience member, please follow the broadcast stations rules. After this incident, no matter what conditions please cooperate with the staff’s orders.
We hope that our next notice will not be like this one and that fans on site will enthusiastically cooperate with the staff.
Thank you.”
Do you think the decision was right? Maybe there are some other ways to resolve this problem?
