J.Y.Park guested on the recent episode of MBC‘s ‘Human Documentary,’ where he revealed his thoughts about Wonder Girls‘ American venture.
During the episode, JYP showed viewers his everyday life from behind the scenes, and invited cameras to his home. When he started to reminisce about 2009 when he, together with Wonder Girls, were trying to conquer the U.S. music scene, he honestly commented, “If I think about it now, it made no sense.”
However, he added, that he has no regrets about that decision, saying, “Sun and I argued and didn’t speak to one another for two days. However, when I think about it, there is no time period that is more valuable to me than then.”
Sunmi has also commented the experience from her own perspective, sharing, “Back then, rather than being the producer of the company, he [J.Y. Park] looked after us like he was our manager. So it tugged at my heart.”
J.Y.Park has also reffered to the negative comments regarding his decision about trying their hands at the U.S. market, saying, “For all challenges, if you succeed, you receive praise, and if you don’t, you’re cursed and told that you wasted your efforts for nothing, so I think it was something that I had to endure.”
