J.Y.Park Loses His Appeal on Plagiarism Case, has to Pay $54,000 USD

J.Y.Park has lost his appeal on the plagiarism case against composer Kim Shin Il and now has to pay 56,930,710 KRW (~ $54,000 USD).

The artist was sued by Kim Shin Il for plagiarizing the ‘Dream High‘ OST ‘Someday’ from the composer’s ‘To My Man’. After losing the case, J.Y.Park appealed the ruling but he lost it as well.

Originally, J.Y.Park had to pay the composer 21,672,752 KRW (~ $19,000 USD) in damages but the price went higher due to the profits made with ‘Someday’ until January 23rd.

J.Y.Park announced that he plans to appeal the ruling once again to the Supreme Court.
