J.Y. Park Tops List for Most Royalties Earned Last Year

Popular singer and producer J.Y. Park has been revealed to have earned the most royalties from music in the last year.

According to a statement that was released by the Korea Music Copyright Association, J.Y. Park has raised his income by over 1.37 Billion Won ($1,240,000 USD) just last year. He has beaten composer Jo Young Soo, who ranked first for the most royalties earned for the past 4 years. J.Y. Park usually ranked high on the list, but this is the first time he has reached the top.

Although the specific details about his copyright revenues have not been released, J.Y. Park has been known to compose his own songs as well as the songs of artists under his label, JYP Entertainment, which explains his high revenues in royalties.
