Fans of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) all over the world gathered together once again for Ultra Singapore 2016. Surprisingly, this time, they are not the only ones who came down. Fans of the multi-talented AOMG’s founder Jay Park and SISTAR’s Hyolyn were present as well.
Held right outside the iconic Marina Bay Sands, the event turned out to be a full-fledged two-day festival and more than 40 000 people attended this glorious event. Ultra Singapore is a spin-off of the famous Ultra Miami and the festival definitely lived up to the whole Ultra Music Festival franchise standard, with three powerful stage set-up.
Despite the muddy grounds on the first day, fans have proved that it did not back them down from having the time of their lives. Performances from the internationally-known like Raiden, Alesso, Afrojack as well as DJ Snake and many more at the Ultra Main Stage got people waving their national flags while raving to their mixes. Fans were also lucky enough to be able to celebrate Afrojack’s birthday together with the DJ while singing a birthday song for him and see him blow his birthday cake live on stage.
Over at the Live Stage, performances from Singaporean rapper Shigga Shay, Bright Lights as well as Far East Movement got everyone screaming their hearts out.
Also, how can we forget? Jay Park performed at the Live Stage together with one of the most adorable rappers from Korea, Loco, and the melodic female RnB singer Hoody.
Jay Park started his set with Beautiful Girls and then got girls screaming for him when he started singing All I Wanna Do. He also performed the Korean version of Me Like Yuh for the first time with Hoody. After which, they performed Solo.
Loco came up on stage to perform My Last while wearing a white sweatshirt with a pair of blue jeans despite the humid weather. He also performed Who You’s remix with Jay Park.
Since Ultra Singapore 2016 is meant for people who love to party, of course the AOMG team had to perform Ain’t No Party Like an AOMG Party. This time, Loco took over Ugly Duck’s part in the song.
Jay then started spraying water to Loco as well as the crowd while performing BO$$ and the crowd could not stop jumping when the boys ended their whole performance with Loco’s No Manners.
The next day of Ultra Singapore 2016 proved to be even crazier than the previous day.
Performances from one of South Korea’s rising EDM artist Justin Oh as well as very secretive DJ Marshmello, Singaporean band The Sam Willows and many more got people so hyped up throughout the whole day.
SISTAR’s Hyolyn showed off her strong, unique voice that evening during her performance at the Live Stage. She started her performance with One Way Love and got the crowd screaming even louder when she rapped to a remix of Ma Boy. She also performed O.M.G and ended the night with Massage.
Ultra Singapore 2016 proved to be an amazing festival and Officially KMUSIC is very thankful to Ultra Entreprise Inc. for the opportunity!
