Jay Park has been busy lately – real busy, he recently released his first EP for Roc Nation ‘Ask ‘Bout Me‘ and the music videos for the songs from that EP, ‘Soju‘ featuring 2Chainz, ‘Yacht‘ featuring Vic Mensa and ‘FSU‘ featuring Gashi and Rich The Kid.
Now, comes the latest release ‘Icon‘, although this is a remix version, and there’s no flashy MV to distract you from the lyrics. The original version of this track was released by Jaden Smith who about a year ago revealed that he was serious about wanting to be a K-pop star.
Jay Park’s rap is blistering and he’s no doubt spitting fire at someone with lyrics that talk about his achievements so far; “Started a record label AOMG, did it, H1GHR MUSIC ambitions, We be on a mission.”
It’s just a personal opinion, but could this be a response to the recent release of ‘Me No Jay Park‘ by Jay‘s former colleague and former Co-CEO of AOMG Simon Dominic?
