Jay Park has dropped his first EP with Roc Nation, the label founded by Jay-Z, ‘Ask Bout Me‘ and the third track to be released from the EP is an English remake of his song ‘Yacht‘.
The original Korean version of ‘Yacht‘ featured Sik-K. This version has been reworked with English lyrics and features Vic Mensa who is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer.
So far, Park has released ‘Soju’ featuring 2 Chainz and ‘FSU‘ featuring GASHI and Rich The Kid.
The remake of ‘Yacht‘ has all the potential of the original version to be a huge summer smash. The song is dedicated to Park‘s ‘baby’, and his rap is as smooth and lyrical as we have come to expect from him – even in a reimagined version of the song. The addition of Vic Mensa is a stroke of genius as he adds his own flow and feel to the track.
In a recent interview, Park revealed that the music video was shot in Hawaii and LA. He commented, “If you’ve seen the video, it looks beautiful. The scenery, the backdrop looks amazing. It goes perfect with the summer vibes.”
