After months of malicious comments and rumors about her being circulated on the internet, it seems like Jessica Jung has had enough and will be taking action in regards to these matters.
On August 29th, her agency: Coridel Entertainment, revealed that a report has been filed with the police and that two netizens were being sued for their hateful comments.
Back in 2014, Jessica had a controversial exit from one of K-pop’s biggest and most popular girl groups. Known as the “Ice Princess” from her Girls’ Generation days, it seems the nasty comments have followed her departure as she continued with her dream of being a designer and then her return to K-pop as a solo artist. In May, she made her return with her first mini album “With Love, J“, after signing with Coridel Entertainment.
The spiteful comments that have been continually posted since May of this year have been met with a formal complaint laid by Jessica, on August 19th, at the Gangnam police station. The comments were both abusive and explicit in nature and if the netizens are found guilty, they will face some serious consequences, such as a possible prison sentence or a major fine.
Public reaction to this news seems to be conflicted as some people believe that the idol has overreacted, whilst others approve of the action and feel that the netizens have gone too far this time. This is just the latest in controversial news surrounding Jessica and many will be waiting to see the outcome of the lawsuit.
