It seems that SHINee’s Jonghyun is trying to hit us from every angle, right at the start of the new year!
As we informed you not long ago, it appears that Jonghyun’s solo album will be titled “Base,” and will be releasing on January the 12th. Some teaser photos were already revealed, and now we have a video teaser to add to our insanity and anticipation.
In the teaser, Jonghyun is shown shackled to long chains, his body therefore making the shape of a “Y.” Ominous music plays in the background as he hangs there, and then his head raises, making eye contact with the camera, looking haggard and desperate. Words scrawl across the screen, then the large Y comes into play, outlining the shape of his body. Jonghyun’s new symbol is shown, which looks strikingly similar to Taemin’s “Ace” symbol, proving that SM is clearly aiming for a theme with these solos.
Check out the teaser below:
Kinda creepy, isn’t it? But in an intriguing, sexy kind of way. Or perhaps, that’s only because Jonghyun is there. Is “Y” maybe the song name? We’re not sure as of yet. Are you excited to find out more? I’d be willing to bet that you are. Jonghyun’s solo has been a long time in the making, and from what we’ve seen thus far, he’s not messing around.
Stay tuned for more updates on Jonghyun’s solo debut, and on all your other favorite Korean stars!
