Joo Won will be giving back to the community this fall, as the singer will be holding a two-hour long, completely free special fan meet on October 4th at the Kyung Hee University’s Seoul Campus. The event will be used to help raise money for those who are battling serious illnesses, such as a young man named Kim Young Soo who battles cerebral palsy, along with multicultural families who are also being treating at Kyung Hee University Hospital in their neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and pediatrics departments in Gangdong.
Doctor Kim Kwang Chul, a resident at Kyung Hee University Hospital, spoke on Joo Won’s and his fans’ generosity, stating, “We’re grateful for Joo Won and his fans for participating in helping out a patient who really needed the help. Our medical team will also be pouring out effort to treat the patient to the best of our ability.”
A representative from Joo Won’s agency, Sim Entertainment, assured spectators that these charitable fan meets will not be the last but rather the first of many, “As it has been a long time since he met with the fans, Joo Won has been passionately preparing for the fan meeting.”
Officially Kmusic readers, what do you think of the idea of charitable fan meets, or fan meets for a cause? We hope Joo Won’s fan meet is successful, and is able to assist this wonderful cause in a big way.
