The only member of JYJ left active the music world, Xia Junsu, released his new mini album “Yesterday,” today on October, 19th at Midnight KST.
This is his first ballad track chosen for the title song and tt’s understandable why he wanted that. His voice was part of many OSTs in Korean dramas showing how great his vocals are. The song was written by singer-songwriter Lucia.
Now lay back and enjoy this amazing song and MV:
Amazing right? It made me speechless and it’s not an easy job to do it, trust me! First of all, I love that there are no flashy clothes, heavy make up or unnecessary choreography. The center of this MV is just Junsu singing amazingly, a song that you may think is easy to sing but when you listen to it a little better, you can hear that it’s not the case.
That is how great he is.
The song begins with slow piano and when he sings the first note, goosebumps! Junsu has unique voice that no person can be indifferent to!
Now lets talk about the MV:
Obviously it’s a hard apocalyptic theme, a nuclear disaster where one man is searching his loved one after he survived. We saw a scene where the two of them had a fight just before the disaster happened and it made me think deeply. You really don’t know what tomorrow can bring.
The two main characters are played by Kim Kang-woo and Japanese actress Fuji Mina, their heart-breaking performance made this music video even more impactful on the viewer.
Junsu, for what I saw played an Angel-like figure, giving some kind of hope for them, and others who survived.
At the end we invite you to listen to his new mini album because you won’t regret it.
