Have you ever procrastinated watching a drama thinking that it was more than likely not for you, but in the end when you finally caved, you fell completely in love with it?
That was what happened to me with this drama, when the first time I opened the first episode, something distracted me and I couldn’t finish it so I left it.
But it’s never too late, and I got back to it, and in one day I managed to see all eight episodes that aired so far and all I can say is daebak!
Yong Pal is SBS‘s new Wednesday/Thursday medical drama that aired its first episode on August 5th, replacing the highly successful drama “Mask” with 9% in total ratings, which is amazing for a pilot episode.
Joo Won and Kim Tae Hee are the main leads that portray really complex characters. “Kim TaeHyun” (Joo Won) is and 3rd year intern, with amazing skills and a bright future in this business, but with tough life circumstances, as everything is upside down in his life. He needs to work illegally for mobsters as his alias “Yong Pal,” to pay off his debt he took from them to pay for his medical studies and his sister’s medical expenses because she is heavily ill. He tries to hide his true personality while chasing for the money and that road leads him towards unimaginable destiny. Kim TaeHee’s character “Han YeoJin,” a chaebol heiress who is trapped in a comatose state by her older brother in order to take all of her shares and money.
This drama is amazing, full of action, drama and of course romance. Joo Won has rich career behind him as well as Kim Tae Hee, so this drama is a must-see.
The way the scenes were shot is a true masterpiece, for me, who was not so crazy about medical dramas (although I’ve watched them a lot) this one has brought me into that world like no other.
So if you already didn’t start, please do!
