Prepared to show off their craziest forms, ATEEZ performed two nights in Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium as part of their [TOWARDS THE LIGHT : WILL TO POWER] U.S. Tour. Fresh off their appearance as the first K-Pop boy group to ever grace the stages at Coachella Music Festival, the eight members were filled with explosive energy from start to end.
Having collaborated with ATEEZ for their recent song, “Hush-Hush,” fans (known as ATINY) in Los Angeles were also given a special opening performance by J-Pop group BE:FIRST. The group blew the crowd away with performances of songs such as “Masterplan,” and truly cranked the energy up in preparation for the main act of the evening. Not wanting to delay the time to greet their LA ATINY, ATEEZ was ready to take the stage promptly after the opening act.
The show kicked off with “Crazy From,” a high-energy track that prompted everyone in the audience to get up and dance and sing along from the main stage. Next up was “Say My Name,” another high-energy track paired with the group’s iconic dance. For this song, the group made their way to the extended stage, allowing themselves to get closer to their fans. After a short dance break and VCR, ATEEZ headed back to the main stage for “This World,” “Wake Up,” and “Geurrilla,” the latter of which was met with its signature “break the wall” fanchant. With a loud shout of “8 makes 1 team,” each member then took the time to greet their ATINY with warm smiles and laughter that contrasted with their cool performance personas from just seconds prior, ready for an unforgettable night.
Following their short greetings, the group sailed straight into the next set of songs, beginning with a solo rap by MINGI. The rapper showed off his unique flow and deep voice, and his solo stage led straight into a group performance of “Cyberpunk” and “HALAZIA.” Taking this opportunity to move into unit and solo stages, the group split up for a few songs. This section started off with “IT’s You,” by YEOSANG, SAN, and WOOYOUNG, before moving forward to the group’s “twin tower duo,” MINGI and YUNHO, with their song “Youth.” The spotlight fell on the youngest member JONGHO next, as he slowed things down with his solo track, “Everything.” WOOYOUNG helped transition back to group performances with an impressive dance solo, and the group was back together on the extended stage once again with “Silver Light” and “Crescent Part 2.”
Working hard to ensure fans would have a great view of them regardless of where they were seated, ATEEZ moved forward to perform “WAVE” and “Dancing Like Butterfly Wings” with a few members on the extended stage and a few on the main stage, before another VCR took the audience’s attention to offer the group a small break. After the VCR, HONGJOONG and SEONGHWA were the last unit up, performing their song “MATZ” to ATINYs’ delight. While all prior stages were already energetic and upbeat, this next segment was undeniably the highlight of the night, bringing the energy up from 100% to 150%. ATEEZ performed their latest title track, “WORK,” Latin-inspired song “ARRIBA,” and “DJANGO,” bringing up memories of the group’s hour-long Coachella set. Calling this the last official segment of the night, the group performed “BOUNCY (K-HOT CHILLI PEPPERS)” and “WONDERLAND (Symphony No. 9 “From The Wonderland”)” to close out the show.
Of course, no concert is complete without an encore, and ATEEZ was no different. Performing a quick medley of some of the audience’s favorite songs, the group sped through “Eternal Sunshine,” “Fireworks (I’m The One),” and “The Real – Heung Version,” before taking time to say their last greetings for their ATINY. The group made sure to express their utmost gratitude and reassure fans they’d return again soon, and the show came to a real close with “Turbulence,” “Dreamy Day,” and “UTOPIA.”
Fans were left in tears as the show finished off with a beautiful fireworks display and one last group bow from ATEEZ. Having spent the last few hours in utopia, the crowd slowly emptied the stadium with smiles on their faces as they reminisced about the show and began planning for the next. Special thank you to ATEEZ’s team for allowing Officially Kmusic to attend! Make sure to head to our Facebook page now to view all photos from the show.
