CHUU brought her first solo tour, Howl in the USA, to an enchanting close in Dallas. This momentous occasion marked not only her first-ever tour in the United States, but also coincided with her six year anniversary since debuting as an idol.
The stage came alive as CHUU made a captivating entrance, opening with the mesmerizing intro to “My Palace,” and the sweet melodic notes of “Underwater.” Greeting her fans, known as KKOTI, with her signature warm smiles and infectious laughter, the singer filled the stage with an irresistible charm. From her flawless visuals to her striking vocals, and even down to her bubbly personality, the fans’ love for the singer only continued to grow as the show went on.
Not limiting herself to only her releases from her first album, CHUU also surprised the audience with covers of Jeremy Zucker’s “comethru” and Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.” Remarkably, her renditions seamlessly complemented her unique vocal tone, transcending the genre difference and leaving the audience in awe. Acknowledging the slightly shortened setlist, CHUU also made sure to carve out a special moment to transform into her playful alter ego, “Pika-CHUU.” This special segment allowed her to reminisce about the tour, doing activities such as creating drawings with the help of KKOTI.
In a bold move, CHUU also showed an edgier side to herself, performing a rock rendition of her pre-debut track, “Heart Attack.” The darker version of the song stood in stark contrast to the softer sound she had maintained throughout her career, showcasing her versatility as an artist. The bubbly prelude of “Aliens” paved the way for the grand finale – a performance of her most recent title track and the tour’s namesake, “Howl.”
The night, though too short, was truly awe-inspiring, as CHUU crafted sweet memories for her beloved KKOTI. Her ambitions for a future visit lingered in the hearts of the audience, creating anticipation for the next chapter in the young singer’s musical journey. As the curtains closed on Howl in the USA, CHUU’s enchanting entrance and dynamic performance in Dallas will undoubtedly be remembered as a significant milestone in her career, leaving an indelible mark on both her and her fans.
