After almost a year since their last tour, EVERGLOW returned with their third world tour, “Pulse & Heart,” kicking things off in Chicago after a minor scheduling shift.
The night erupted with energy as the concert opened with fan-favorites “Dun Dun,” “LA DI DA,” and “Pirate,” setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Following the first three songs, the group took a brief pause to greet their passionate fans, known as FOREVERs. Next, the group treated fans to songs from their latest comeback, including the pulsating “Zombie,” and the vibrant “Colourz.” Screaming out as each member’s part came on, the fans stayed in syc with the lyrics, and their love echoed within every chant as it intensified with each track.
The setlist took an emotional turn when EVERGLOW launched into “Oh Ma Ma God,” a sweet ballad that was as visually stunning as it was vocally enchanting. This was followed with the live debut of “Night Night,” and a mesmerizing cover of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” Showcasing each member and their individual strengths, the group demonstrated their dynamic performance versatility in this next part with a series of solo and unit stages. First up was Yiren and Onda, as they captivated the audience with a sultry dance cover of Tinashe’s “Nasty.” Next, Siyeon, Mia, and E:U showcased their vocal prowess with a powerful rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),” completed with a standout rap section added in by E:U.
With this year being the group’s five year debut anniversary, EVERGLOW also took time to reminisce on milestones such as their first music video release, the day they announced FOREVERs’ fandom name, and their first tour. While sixth member Aisha was absent from this tour due to health reasons, the group made sure she was still remembered, bringing a fan-made cutout of her on-stage during “No Good Reason.” The energy remained high as the group performed more covers, including to (G)I-DLE’s “Klaxon” and aespa’s “Supernova,” showing off their flawless vocals and choreography. Wrapping up this segment and the rest of the show, the group performed “First,” “Slay,” and “Adios.”
Of course, no show is finished without the encore, as EVERGLOW returned to stage once more for a heartfelt performance of “Back2Luv” and a fan-voted finale of “LA DI DA,” which was originally meant to be “Untouchable,” but was switched due to technical errors. Despite missing a member, the girl group still delivered a spectacular show full of energy, charisma, and emotion. With promises to return as a full group next time, fans left the venue with racing pulses and full hearts, already counting the days until their next show.
