GOT7 released their first full album in November and recently, the 7 boys were in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for their second visit to the country. It was their first press conference in the country and Officially KMusic was there to tell you all about it.
To start things off, the MC asked “What kind of concept are you going to try for the next album?”
Jackson answered “It’s a secret.” He then made a motion with his hand and said “surprise.”
The MC continued, asking them whether there will be any teasers or when it might happen, and Jackson answered them once again with a “It’s a surprise too.”
The next question was “What was the biggest and most proud achievement since GOT7 debut?”
JB answered, “We received the best rookie awards for the Golden Disk Awards (GDA).”
The MC changed the tempo of the press conference, when the guys discussed the fact that GOT7 is a multi-national group, in which there are members from Korea, America, Thailand and Hong Kong and the bumps in the road that has caused.
They members revealed that there were a few communication problems in the beginning, but then they all learned Korean so it was alright.
The MC and GOT7 play around with the languages for a bit before the MC said, “Okay that’s enough. Let’s just settle in one language,” making them laugh.
When asked if there will be a full concert in Malaysia after the fan meeting, JB answered stating, “There isn’t any plan yet, but they will try our best to have a concert in Malaysia.” The MC followed this up by saying “We’ll bring you back,” to which Jackson replied, “You’ll bring us back, we’ll do the concert.”
The next question was for Jackson from a media rep, “What is your favorite Roommate episode that you have filmed so far?” Jackson smiled, “Of course it was when my parents came. I was very touched and emotional and I really enjoy it.” The MC asked, “Did you cry a lot?” and Jackson answered, “Yes I did,” to which the MC assured, “It’s manly tears.” Jackson agreed.
Besides performing and singing, GOT7 also does acting and variety shows, but have you ever wondered which one is considered by the members to be the most challenging? JB has your answer, “We can’t really say which one is easier but we want to work harder for it,” showing their passion for their work.
Do GOT7 still get stage fright? How do they handle with it? JB stated, “Not really,” while Jackson joked around, “Yes! Because there is a monster on the stage so we always get scared.” BamBam answered “Sometimes.” JB and JR continued, “You know when you get stage fright, your heartbeats very fast but you try to change that to interest for the stage.”
For GOT7 fan meet in Malaysia, how can GOT7 introduce themselves to both fans and non fans to this event? What attracts people to GOT7? “Maybe go whisper their ears and say ‘I’m GOT7,‘” Jackson answered, earning laughs.
The last question was, “What does GOT7 think of Malaysian fans?” JB answered, “First of all we are very thankful to the Malaysian fans because when we were here in Malaysia last time to film our music video, the fans were following us to take pictures of us and the fans were very friendly.” When there were GOT7 fans waiting for them at the airport instead of being afraid or happy, they are very touched. With that, the press conference concluded.
