[K-Exclusive] Interview with Rocket Punch

ROCKET PUNCH is a six members girl group which debuted under Woollim Entertainment in Their debut lead single “BIM BAM BUM” has fastly gathered attention, and the music video currently has over 21 million views on YouTube. Since then, the girls are releasing one amazing track after another and recently came back with a “FLASH”. OfficiallyKMusic got the chance to connect with Rocket Punch despite their busy schedule and we can now share the full interview with you below.

Let´s meet Rocket Punch together!

Can you please introduce your group and each member to our readers?
“Rocket Punch is a group full of various colors, where all 6 members gather to create great
performances. I am sure you will be happy if you come along on our journey!! Please enjoy our
energy with us!”
Yeonhee: “Hello, I am Yeonhee from Rocket Punch!”
Juri: “I am the oldest of the group, and I am a member from Japan full of energy. My MBTI is
ENTP!!!”
Suyun: “Hello! I’m Suyun from Rocket Punch!”
Yunkyoung: “Hello~ I’m Yunkyoung from Rocket Punch!”
Sohee: “I’m Sohee, full of various charms within the group!”
Dahyun: “I am Dahyun, the youngest of the group. Despite my age, I am very confident with my
stage expressions, and you will deeply fall in love with the cute side of me as well! I always try
my best, so please look forward to my growth as an artist over time!”

Rocket Punch debuted more than three years ago. What has been your most favorite
moment since the debut?
Juri: “The best moment for us was our 2nd fan meeting! Just like concerts, we were so happy to
spend lots of time with KETCHY! We can’t wait to do a concert as well!”

Can you tell us more about your latest single album “FLASH”?
Yeonhee: “‘FLASH’ contains the meaning of taking a step towards a new world. You will be able
to see our new charms and improved skills!”

Do you have a song from this album which stands out to you?
Suyun: “I think ‘Beep Beep’ feels special to me because it’s been a while since we recorded that
song and we really hoped it would be on our album. I am so glad you are finally able to listen to
the song through this album!”

How did you enjoy filming the “FLASH” music video?
Yunkyoung: “We celebrated Rocket Punch’s 3rd debut anniversary during the music video
shooting, and because of that we were able to shoot the video with more enthusiasm and
positive vibes! There were also cool CGI effects, which made us curious about the result even
more!”

You met your fans during a fan meeting earlier this year as well. And you had a lot of
funny segments during this event. How did you feel meeting KETCHY? Did the fans
surprise you with something?
Sohee: “First of all, we were so happy to be able to perform in front of our fans. I think the fans
might have been surprised when all of our members including me shed tears during the fan
meeting!”

Beside Korean songs, you are also releasing songs in Japanese. How did you learn a foreign language? Do you have any study tips for your fans?
Dahyun: “I think instead of learning the language through books, it’s easier to learn the
language through movies or anime because it makes you study consistently without stress. I
recommend combining your hobby with the language you want to learn!”

Now a bit more of a funny question. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Juri: “A door that could take you anywhere!”

What places do you like to visit in Korea then?
Yeonhee: “Han River! It is so crowded these days, but I’ve always loved taking a walk by the
river.”

Many people walk around a river listening to a song. What is your all-time favorite one?
Suyun: “I don’t think I will be able to choose one since I love all the music haha. My recent
favorite is ‘FLASH’ which is our title track and also ‘Love Somebody’ by Lauv.”

Is there a fictional character you would like to meet in real life?
Yunkyoung: “I want to meet Doraemon! I want to see what’s inside his pockets and use all the
cool gadgets that I find!”

What is your favorite or most used emoji?
Sohee:  “❤️‍🔥 It’s the burning heart. I think this emoji represents my personality very well.”

Finally, do you have any message to your fans all around the world?
Dahyun: “I want to say thank you to the fans for always expressing your love and supporting us.
After FLASH promotions, we’re going to start our promotions in Japan. I hope you enjoy our
new album, and we’ll continue to work hard to be KETCHY’s energy!”
