The Korean heart-throb, Ji Chang Wook, visited the sunny shores of Singapore as Shokubutsu’s brand ambassador on the 6th of December 2015. The conference room packed with media who are eagerly anticipating the arrival of 28-year-old Korean actor.
Ji Chang Wook represents the new ideal man of Shokubutsu revitA care and he certainly embodies perfection. Ji Chang Wook was chosen as the ambassador of Shokubutsu as the brand represents warmth, and it fits perfectly with his image. Ji Chang Wook greeted the media and answered various questions related to his skin, filming, and ideal type during the press conference.
The actor expressed his gratitude to be able to travel to Singapore and escape the cold weather in Korea. When Ji Chang Wook was asked about his grooming regime; as he has such a good skin, he humbly replied that he doesn’t do anything special. He just ensures that he eats and sleeps well and thoroughly cleanses his face as he spends a lot of time in make-up.
When asked about what he would do for his girlfriend (if he had one), Ji Chang Wook will definitely make a caring boyfriend as he would encourage her with warm words and consistently care for her. Additionally, he mentions that he is similar to Shokubutsu as he is warm, just like the brand itself. The actor also described his ideal scent for Shokubutsu soap as mild, natural and pampering as he does not like strong scents.
When it came to describing his ideal type, the charming actor said that appearance is not important to him as he is looking for someone he could connect and hold a conversation with. He believes that when he is able to feel connected with someone, the person could be beautiful in many different ways.
The actor is currently busy filming a movie in China and he almost missed his flight to Singapore due to last minute filming. The actor believes that the roles, which he played mainly, portrayed him giving his heart to protect his love and it helped shaped his image into someone who is a warm prince charming.
Despite his image, Ji Chang Wook describes himself as someone who is playful and likes to make people happy. The actor had many memorable scenes while acting in the drama, ‘Empress Ki’ and he recalls the shower scene in the drama that left a deep impression in him, as he had to hide in the tub. He also recalls his first kissing scene; it was rather embarrassing. Although he is a well-known actor, Ji Chang Wook is also passionate about music and hopes that he will have the opportunity to pursue it in 2016.
After the press conference, Ji Chang Wook headed over to Suntec City for a public fanmeet where an overwhelming crowd of adoring fans waited to get up close and personal to dashing young actor. Some lucky fans that were picked to get up on stage with Ji Chang Wook was certainly envied by the crowd. Fans who got up stage also received a hamper of goodies from Shokubutsu and a photo with the ambassador himself. The fanmeet ended off with Ji Chang Wook thanking the fans for coming down to see him and promises to work hard in acting as well as producing more dramas.
