Kicking off his Pop A Lot tour in California, Sik-K’s third stop was in Orange County. Heating up the cold Sunday evening, the rapper, along with tour guests Haon, JMIN, and DJ SMMT, performed to a passionate crowd of fans at The Observatory in Santa Ana.
At 8pm on the dot, Sik-K ran on stage as DJ SMMT began to play the beginning instrumentals of “Chill,” followed by “Melanin Handsome.” The rapper went through roughly three songs before being joined by his first special guest, Haon. The duo performed several songs together, including “No Rush” and “4eva,” before Sik-K quietly exited the stage to allow Haon his own solo segment. The young rapper performed full of confidence, blowing through songs like “Barcode” and “Noah” with ease. Reaching the end of his set, the next one up on stage was JMIN, who performed songs such as “Don’t Worry” and “Dedication,” along with several unreleased tracks.
Before long, Sik-K was back on stage, performing songs such as “12:45” and “Xanax,” picking up several bras that were thrown his way and hanging them from his pants as decor. The show came to its first ending with fans in disbelief that the rapper, known for his great physique, had not removed his jacket, although he continuously teased them by flashing his abs as he wasn’t wearing a shirt. Unsurprisingly, however, Sik-K graced the stage one last time, sans jacket, alongside both Haon and JMIN. The trio performed their highest energy songs with the help of DJ SMMT, ending the show with a bang. Going through “Achoo,” “The Purge,” “iffy,” and “Party (SHUT DOWN)” they danced around the stage, matching the energy of the fans jumping and screaming the lyrics from the crowd.
Despite the relatively short show and not selling out the full venue, the show was not lacking anything in terms of stage presence, fan service, and quality live performances. Sik-K, Haon, JMIN, and DJ SMMT even stayed behind after the official ending of the show to sign autographs and take selfies with as many fans as possible, creating unforgettable memories for everyone in attendance.
Special thank you to Sik-K’s team and Kohai for allowing Officially Kmusic to attend the show! Make sure to head to our Facebook page now to check out all of our photos from the show.
