“Kakaotalk Asian Dream Cup 2014” charity match was held on June 2nd at Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta. This event also commemorated the 66th anniversary of the International Olympic Day that will be celebrated on June 23rd.
The event’s opening ceremony began with the torch relay from Indonesia’s top athletes, Dedeh Erawati and Suryo Agung, accompanied by performance from University of Indonesia’s Madah Bahana marching band. The athletes relayed the torch to Ade Lukman, Head Committee of Sport For All from the Indonesian Olympic Committee, and Park Sung Jong, director of JS Foundation who lit the cauldron as a symbol of the opening of “Kakaotalk Asian Dream Cup 2014.”
The charity match between JS & Friends team and Indonesia All Stars team turned to be an exciting match. JS & Friends scored their first goal in the 9th minute thanks to a powerful kick from Chong Te Se, North Korean football player. Three minutes later, Ramdhani Lestaluhu made the score even with his goal for the Indonesia All Stars team. Even though it was a friendly match, both teams showed their best ability starting from the professional football players who are still active to retired senior players such as Kim Sang Sik and also supporting member such as “Running Man”’s Lee Kwang Soo and Ji Suk Jin.
In the 40th minute of the match Ismed Sofyan broke Ki Seok Cha defense and scored a goal. However Chong Te Se made the score even only one minute later with his second goal. Match ended with final score 3-2 for Indonesia’s team after Tantan managed to outwit the opponent’s defense and scored the third goal for Indonesia All Star team.
During halftime, the audience was entertained by performance from Judika, a contestant on “Indonesian Idol,” who sang Queen’s “I Want to Break Free.”
The second half of the match did not bring any goals. However, the audience was treated to an exciting sight of ‘Running Man’ members who took turns to play on the field. Yoo Jae Suk showed his hard work as he managed to threaten Andritany’s goalpost. This charity game ended with victory of Indonesian All Stars team with score 3-2 to JS & Friends team.
“Kakaotalk Asian Dream Cup 2014” charity match ended with energetic act from Crayon Pop, who performed their hits “Bar Bar Bar” and “Uh Ee.”
“Kakaotalk Asian Dream Cup 2014” is the last Asian Dream Cup held by JS Foundation, in relation to announcement of Park Ji Sung‘s retirement from professional football. JS Foundation’s philosophy is to bring happiness and joy to people from different countries through sports, specifically football.
