After a brief break from celebrity status, ex-KARA member Kang Jiyoung is ready to come back as an actress in Japan!
Since KARA’s ex-maknae and vocalist left the group and DSP Media in April after her contract expiry, she has been laying low. She took some time off to study both language and acting in London and made little contact through social media. It seems those days are over as Oricon Style recently reported that she has been cast as one of the lead heroines in the new Japanese drama “Hell Nube Teacher.” Jiyoung has been quoted as saying “I will work hard so that my character can receive love,” showing that she is ready for this new chapter in her life.
She has also posted on her Instagram account a lovely selca, with the caption “see you VERY soon”:
“Hell Nube Teacher” is set to premiere in October and will be the first project for Jiyoung under Sweet Power, her new entertainment agency.
This gives both fans of Jiyoung and Japanese dramas something great to look forward to in the coming months! What do you think of Jiyoung’s new start and upcoming project?
