Last article for today for Editor’s Choice, but don’t fret, Leigh will be by tomorrow to throw more feelz your way.
On to our last category for this weekend, is best costumes!
For me, part of the ‘wow’ factor for me is costumes, especially when the group performs for a certain theme, concept or mini drama within their music video. Costumes become just as important as the set, really. They can either pull a music video together or make you shake your head and ask, ‘What the hell was that coordi-noona thinking?!’
This was actually harder to choose than the choreography article. Wow. Okay, so I finally chose 4Minute‘s “Crazy.” I’m sure you’re asking yourself why. Or maybe you’re not.
But I know this wouldn’t be my first choice. Simply because, when I choose these sorts of things, I go for more plot oriented stuff. But Seotaiji and BoA can’t win everything.
The reason I chose 4Minute is because the way they perform the song, the attitude paired with their attire just screamed ‘WEAR ME!’ Especially their hats. I like those hats.
Like 4Minute’s signature style, the song isn’t necessarily hip-hop, but it’s not pure pop either, it’s more…let’s call it hip-pop. The outfits are more made for casual dancers (for the most part) than for hip hop artists, and, like I said before, the way the girls carry themselves in the outfits are what really set it off. It really makes me pay attention to their clothes, especially since the music video is choreo driven rather than plot driven.
I want ur hats, HyunA. I wants them bad.
