After Heechul of Super Junior expressed his disappointment at not being able to attend the Celebrity invitational match against SK T1 (South Korea Telecom), the brand which won the League of Legends Season 3 World Championship, the coach of SK T1 invited him to participate in another Celebrity match against the exemplary team. While all but 2 of the players who won the season 3 championship have moved on to different teams, the SK T1 team is still a team to be feared in the OGL (South Korean Circuit), and Heechul’s team was composed of gamers, but not current pros, and the coach himself, as well as a shotcaller, who would direct the team as to the actions to take in order to win. To create a balanced game, the Pro team decided they would forgo the use of Runes and Masteries, putting themselves into a serious deficit. After Heechul pretends to be angry about fans brandishing signs that proclaimed fans love for SK T1’s coach over their love for Heechul, the match was underway.
Joining Heechul, who was in the AD Carry position as Tristana, were Kim Jung Gyun (SK T1 Coach) in Top playing Kassadin, CloudTemplar (Retired pro LoL gamer) in the Jungle playing XinZhao, Chun Jung Hee (pro Warcraft III player) in Mid playing Ezreal and Kang Byung Ryul (Incredible Miracle Coach) in support playing Lulu. They played two matches and switched their characters for the second match, but their positions remained the same. This video showcases the highlights of those matches, so you can see which teams win and lose each one. I was simply surprised to find out how much Heechul enjoys playing LoL, and that he loves to play it during his time off. Maybe I can support with him one day, if I can get on to South Korea’s servers.
