What happens when one of Korea’s most beloved K-pop folk rock singers of the 90s and one of Korea’s most loved vocalist’s of the current generation come together? An album that is sure to be amazing!
Kim Junsu has reveled that he will be singing the song’s of the late Kim Kwang-seok, who passed away in 1996 at the young age of 31, in a very special album to memorialize the 50th birthday anniversary of the K-pop legend.
Currently Junsu is preparing for the upcoming musical called “December: A Never Ending Song”, and the production company NEW has said that, “the special album will be filled with Kim Kwang-seok’s songs about our lives and youth“. The song’s will combine the charm of Junsu as a musical actor and the reinterpretation of the music through the big-scale needed for a musical.
Junsu will be taking on the the lead roll as Ji-wook and will sing from Kim Kwang-seok’s unleashed song “December” his hit tunes “Letter of A Private”, “Too Painful Love Wasn’t Love”and “In The Name of Love” to a newly-arranged version of Ji-wook’s theme song.
As well as Junsu the musical will co-star actor Park Gun-hyung, and is scheduled to open its curtains at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul from December 16 to January 29 next year.
