On the evening of September 13th, Kim Ki Bum charmed his fans in Singapore with his different sides of his personality.
The fan meet began with a slideshow of Ki Bum being played to the Black Eyed Peas’ song, ‘I Got a Feeling’. Excited fans chanted “Kim Ki Bum” loudly and waves of sapphire blue light sticks moved in unison.
Ki Bum made an impressive entrance from the back of the performance hall and serenaded his fans as he made his way onto the stage.
Ki Bum was greeted by the emcee on stage and he started of the evening’s line up with a short question and answer session. He mentioned not being able to eat any of Singapore’s local cuisines despite being in Singapore for two days. However, if given the opportunity, he would really love to try Singapore’s Black Pepper Crab, Chilli Crab and watermelons.
They then continued to play a Korean hand game, ‘Cham, Cham, Cham’. Five lucky fans were able to play this game with Ki Bum and the winner won a bracelet that belongs to him. Some lucky fans also walked away with the star’s personal belongings.
Video snippets of Ki Bum from the drama ‘I Love Lee Taeri’ were shown. The video snippets showed his sexy, active and cheerful side of his personality. For the action side of his personality, the emcee asked him to do a Kung Fu pose, but since he did not know any Kung Fu poses, he demonstrated to fans his boxing ability.
Ki Bum then dipped his hand into the lucky draw box and chose five fans to play the second game with them. The objective of the second game was to test whether the fans would be able to identify Ki Bum just by the touching hands of five individuals. Three out of the five blindfolded fans were able to identify Ki Bum. The winner was decided through the game of ‘Kai, Bai, Boh’ (Rock, Paper, Scissors). The winner of the second game received a blue buttoned down t-shirt which belonged to Ki Bum.
While he went backstage to prepare for the following performance, a self-edited video from scenes of the drama he was filming ‘Ji Xiang Tian Bao’ was played.
Ki Bum came back on stage to do a magic show which he had learned to do from the past two days. The first act was to balance a cup on its saucer. It managed to stay on for a few seconds, but the cup eventually fell onto the floor and broke into pieces. Fans were very supportive even though he failed the first trick so Ki Bum showed another act with numbers, which ended successfully. The third act, the hardest act he learned, was tearing a tissue paper into pieces and making whole again.
A second round of question and answer session took place which questioned him a lot on his future. When asked on when he wished to get married, he hesitated; He was unsure whether to get married by the age of 30, 33 or 35. He also shared that he might open up a restaurant because he loves alcohol.
The last segment of the fan meet was him making sandwiches for some of his lucky fans. He shared that this was too his first time cooking (making) something for someone aside from his mother. The fans who got a chance to get a bite of his sandwich said it was delicious. It made him very happy.
When the fan meet came to a close Ki Bum thanked his fans and told them that he felt the most nervous for this fan meet out of all his 3 fan meets he did (Hong Kong and Thailand). He also asked fans if they saw him shaking. He continued by saying that he being nervous was part of him as well and asked fans to look at him with nice and kind eyes. He was so sad it ended so fast, but he will keep the experience he made in Singapore part of his memory for all his life.
Fans chanted and wanted more, so Ki Bum came out one last time to sing to his fans ‘Goodbye Love’ the OST for ‘I love Lee Tae Ri’ originally composed and sung by Jun.K of 2PM.
We would like to thank Fast Track Events once again for bringing yet another great artist to Singapore.
