The most disliked South Korean celebrity to North Koreans is Actress Kim Tae Hee, according to North Korean refugees.
During an interview for Channel A‘s “Meet Now,” refugees revealed that, “Kim Tae Hee is known as a bad woman among North Korean residents.”
They explained that the actress has been considered to have an image of a bad woman since her role in “Stairway to Heaven.” The drama is one of the most popular in North Korea.
These North Korean refugees sold K-Drama CDs for a living in their native country, said that, “We sold ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘Autumn In My Heart‘, and ‘Winter Sonata‘ the most,” contesting to the popularity of South Korean dramas in North Korea.
