We here at Officially KMusic would like to introduce to you a new segment “K-CHART” where we will be summarizing the results of various different music charts every week.
It is safe to say that the third week of June was dominated by BIGBANG‘s Taeyang and his new full-length album “Rise” which ranked #1 on Gaon Album Chart. His title song, “Eyes, Nose, Lips,” is also doing extremelly well as it took the #1 spot on Melon Top 10, M Countdown, Gaon Streaming Chart, and #2 on Gaon Digital Chart.
Taeyang’s labelmate, PSY, and his new release “Hangover” featuring Snoop Dogg was not recognized by domestic charts, however the song ranked first on various Billboard charts, including Billboard Twitter Top Tracks, Billboard Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs and Billboard YouTube Chart. It also took the #28 spot on iTunes Music Videos Chart.
Fly to the Sky who has made a comeback after being on a hiatus for quite some time, ruled the charts with the song titled “You You You” which appeared at #3 on Melon Top 10 and M Countdown, #4 on Gaon Streaming Chart and #8 on Gaon Digital Chart.
Various duet releases have also been recognized as Jung In and Gary‘s “Your Scent” took the #2 spot on Melon Top 10 and Gaon Streaming Chart, and #4 on Gaon Digital Chart. Junggigo and Beenzino with their “Want U” ranked #7 on Melon Top 10, #8 on M Countdown and #9 on Gaon Streaming Chart. San E and After School‘s Raina‘s “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness” is still doing great and made it on #4 on M Countdown, and #6 on Gaon Digital Chart, while San E’s song “What’s Wrong With Me” recorded with Kang Min Hee was #5 on Gaon Streaming Chart and #7 on Gaon Digital Chart. IU’s “Meaning of You” featuring Kim Chang Wan ranked #8 on Melon Top 10 and on Gaon Streaming Chart, and #9 on Gaon Digital Chart.
Gummy, who has just released her first album after moving from YG Entertainment to C-JeS Entertainment, proved that her voice is loved by many. Her song “I Loved…Have No Regrets” ranked #4 on M Coutdown, #5 on Gaon Digital Chart, and #9 on Melon Top 10, while the album made it to #8 on Gaon Album Chart.
T-ara‘s Jiyeon and Secret’s Hyoseong, who have both released their first solo albums, are still going strong on various music charts. Jiyeon with her “1 Min 1 Sec” made it to the Top 10 on M Countdown while her album “Never Ever” ranked #9 on Gaon Album Chart. Hyoseong’s “Good – Night Kiss” made it to #7 on M Countdown.
