Last month, we learned that Ladies’ Code‘s manager would be facing criminal charges for speeding that led to the group’s fatal car accident, taking the lives of members EunB and RiSe.
While the other three members, Ashley, Zuny, and Sojung were released from the hospital and are spending much needed recovery time with their families, the group’s company, Polaris Entertainment, was working on finalizing a statement concerning the manager.
As of November 12th, he has been arrested and is being charged with the deaths of EunB and Rise, and injuring four others, according to the Suwon District Public Prosecutor’s Office.
An agency representative of Ladies’ Code told Newsen, ” It′s true that the manager who was driving Ladies’ Code during the accident has been arrested and charged. Investigations are still going on, and we believe that a custody investigation was decided upon as this case is as important as it is. It′s unfortunate and upsetting. As the investgations are still not done, it′s hard for us to make a statement on anything. We don′t know when the investigation reports will come out, but as this is a family member who we′ve worked with, our hearts are in pain.”
Their manager was going over 130 kph when the speed limit for that area was 100kph. The traffic laws stated that because it was raining, it would have been safer to drive at a maximum of 80 kph.
