Lee Byung Hun was unable to be in Brisbane, Australia to attend the 7th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA). The actor received his “Best Actor Award“, his first international for ‘best actor’ for his performance in the movie “Masquerade.”
Lee Byung Hun’s award was accepted by the Real Eyes production company’s directorWon Dong Yeon on the actors behalf.
Lee Byung Hun brought over one million to the theaters to for his latest film “Masquerade,”This isn’t the actors only win for the film, he also won the ‘best actor’ award at the Grand Bell Awards this year. Solidifying his status as anA-List actor for his remarkable talent.
“Masquerade” is not the only Korean film that received awards that night, others include
Kang Yi Kwan‘s film “Juvenile Offender” (2012) won the grand award in the youth category at APSA, continuing the wave of awards at the international film festival by Korean films.
The CEO of Cine2000, which was known to have produced “The Terror Live,” also took home the International Federation of Film Producers Association Award (FIAPF Award) at the ceremony, this an esteemed award for the production company who has received an exceptional amount.
Korean films are becoming more internationally well known, with any luck we may see films such as “The Commitment” or “Friends 2: The Legacy” at the SAG, or the American/ British Academy Awards.
